A Study on Establishing Agility Metrics for Volleyball Athletes Using the AHP Model
This study employs the Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to delve into factors impacting the agility of volleyball athletes, with the aim of formulating agility metrics and determining the weightage for each metric. The objective is to offer valuable insights for the selection and training of volleyball athletes. The study reveals that the agility metrics for volleyball athletes comprises three primary metrics and thirteen secondary metrics. The primary metrics and their respective weights are:Directional Change(0.38),Movement Transition(0.36),and Overall Strength(0.26).Secondary metrics and their weights include:5m Y-shaped shuttle run(0.11),Illinois Agility Run(0.08),T-test(0.09),Yoyo intermittent recovery test(0.06),Spider run test(0.07),Boby jump 15 times(0.06),In-place hurdle jumps for 30 seconds(0.07),30-second volleyball-specific movement transition(passing, setting, spiking, serving, and blocking)(0.12),30-second hitting and dodging(5 balls within a circle with a radius of 3 meters)(0.06),1-minute single-rope skipping(0.05),Cross-step →backward run(50 meters)(0.07),Dumbbell arm swing for 30 seconds(0.09),Pull-ups(0.07).
