Strategies and Development Directions to Elevate the Competitive Strength of Chinese Men's Artistic Gymnastics in the Paris Olympic Quadrennium
This study employs methods such as mathematical statistics and video observation,using the results from the 47th to 50th World Gymnastics Championships and the men's artistic gymnastics competition at the Tokyo Olympics.It delves into the developmental trajectory and preparatory strategies for Chinese men's artistic gymnastics during the Paris Olympic quadrennium.The findings reveal that(a)China,Russia,and Japan continue to be dominant forces in global gymnastics,emerging as key contenders in major competitions.(b)Following the setback in Rio,Chinese men's gymnastics team achieved commendable results at the Tokyo Olympics,securing a leading position in the medal standings.(c)However,achieving stellar outcomes at the Paris Olympics will face several challenges,notably the emergence of European and American nations,along with smaller gymnastics nations,leading to a more diverse competitive landscape.Formidable rivals such as Russia and Japan exhibit rapid overall progress,diminishing China's specific advantages and underscoring weaknesses.(d)China's men's gymnastics encounters various internal issues,including inconsistent athlete performance,conspicuous weaknesses,and physical impacts.Recommendations include(a)reinforcing strengths,addressing weaknesses,(b)implementing scientifically sound training methods to stabilize athlete performance,(c)encouraging the integration of technology in daily training for precise monitoring,efficiency enhancement,and(d)improving injury prevention,and increasing success rates in finals.
