Competitive Landscape of Men's Artistic Gymnastics in the World Today——An Analysis of Men's Events Results at the 52nd World Gymnastics Championships
This study utilizes research methods,including literature review,video observation,and mathematical statistics,to comprehensively analyze the results of the men's team final,individual all-around final,and various event finals of the 52nd World Gymnastics Championships.The objective is to gain profound insights into the global development scenario of men's artistic gymnastics,providing valuable considerations for China's preparations for the Paris Olympics.Conclusions:(a)In terms of overall competitive strength,China and Japan demonstrate evenly matched prowess,securing positions in the first tier;the United States,the United Kingdom,and Ukraine fall into the second tier;while Ireland,Israel,Germany,Greece,and four other countries constitute the third tier.(b)Examining each event reveals the advent of a new era characterized by intense competition,with no single country maintaining a dominant position.Therefore,recommendations include:(a)Strengthening the talent pool for all-around athletes,addressing weaknesses,and filling gaps;(b)Emphasizing the development trend of"balancing difficulty and aesthetics,with a priority on aesthetics"by focusing on enhancing the quality of athletes'complete routine performances.
