A Comparative Analysis of the Offensive and Defensive Capabilities of the Top 32 Teams in 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup
This study aims to find out the strength and weakness of Chinese men's basketball team in 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup,and to provide a theoretical basis for Chinese men's basketball team to achieve excellent results in 2027 Men's Basketball World Cup.This paper quantitatively analyzes and evaluates the offensive and defensive technical indexes of the top 32 teams in the 2023 World Cup by using the analysis method based on RSR comprehensive evaluation.The study shows that:(a)China's offensive technical indicators and defensive technical indicators belong to the D level,the offensive and defensive capabilities in this World Cup belong to the E level,and the gap with the other teams in the top 32 of this World Cup is large.(b)The gap between China and the top 4 teams in this World Cup in terms of points scored and points lost is mainly attributed to the three-point shooting rate,free throw shooting rate,assists,steals and fouls.(c)The main factors affecting China's scoring and loss ratio in this World Cup are first quarter score,free throw shooting percentage,assists,two-point shooting percentage and defensive rebounds.
