Constraints and Mitigation Strategies for the Development of High-Level Volleyball Referees in Shaanxi Province
Volleyball referees play a pivotal role in the dynamics of volleyball competitions,contributing significantly to the sport.This study employs a comprehensive approach,including literature analysis,expert interviews,questionnaire surveys,and statistical methods,to investigate and analyze the constraining factors affecting the development of high-level volleyball referees in Shaanxi Province.And an optimization path is also proposed.Findings:(a)a balanced age and gender structure within the referee team,primarily composed of university-level physical education teachers with high educational qualifications.However,regional disparities in distribution pose challenges.(b)there are four primary influencing factors and eleven secondary indicators.(c)there emerge issues such as suboptimal English proficiency,inadequate adaptation to high technology,limited opportunities for officiating in high-level competitions,and insufficient development of reserve forces.The proposed strategies include a holistic improvement of on-field officiating capabilities,individual-focused development to address skill gaps,government-led expansion of the referee team,and the enhancement of supervision and training mechanisms with the overarching goal of improving overall quality.These strategies aim to foster the positive development of volleyball referees in Shaanxi Province,contributing to the long-term progress of China's volleyball referee teams.
