Research on the Correlation between Physical Fitness and Beginners'Pistol Shooting Accuracy
Physical fitness,as one of the important factors affecting athletic performance, may potentially play a significant role in improving pistol shooting accuracy. This study empirically investigated the correlation between physical fitness and pistol shooting accuracy and analyzed the impact of physical fitness differences on shooting accuracy using an independent samples t-test.The results showed a strong negative correlation between reaction time and pistol shooting accuracy, with a correlation coefficient of-0.588(p<0.01).Shoulder flexibility and Functional Movement Screen(FMS)scores exhibited a significant positive correlation with pistol shooting accuracy. No significant correlations were observed between grip strength,push-up ability,single-leg balance with eyes closed, and pistol shooting accuracy. These findings provide valuable reference information for law enforcement personnel and related researchers, and are expected to promote the improvement and optimization of law enforcement shooting training, enhancing the combat capabilities of law enforcement personnel and their ability to respond to complex law enforcement environments.
