The objective of this study is to observe the effect of 12 weeks of physical fitness training on the physical fitness of primary school students. Methods:Two students in the fourth grade of a primary school in Harbin were divided into physical fitness training group(intervention group)and regular physical education group(control group),with 40 students in each group. The intervention was held twice a week for 40 minutes for 12 weeks. Both groups were tested for physical fitness before and after the intervention. Results:Before the experiment, there was a significant difference in waist circumference(p<0.05)between the two groups,a high significance difference(p<0.01)between the two groups and a 20-second round trip, and no significant difference(p>0.05)between the two groups. In the experimental group, height, weight, waist circumference,20-meter round trip,left-handed grip strength,30s sit-ups,standing long jump, sitting forward bending,50-meter running,20s repeated span had highly significant differences(p<0.01),and BMI and right-handed grip strength had significant differences(p<0.05).There were significant differences in height,weight,20m round trip,30s sit-ups,sitting forward flexion, and 20s repeated span in the control group(p<0.01).There were highly significant differences in waist circumference,20-meter round trip, left and right hand grip strength,50-meter running, and 20s repeated span changes(p<0.01),and BMI differences(p<0.05).Conclusion:Physical fitness training based on LTAD model has a significant effect on promoting physical health of primary school students.
