Analysis of Distribution Characteristics of Physical Activity Behavior and Health in Chinese Adolescents
OBJECTIVE:This study aims to investigate the characteristics of physical activity behavior and health distribution among Chinese adolescents,analyzing features such as age,gender,time,and urban-rural distribution.METHOD:The cross-sectional survey method was employed,conducting statistical analysis on physical activity behavior and health-related indicators of adolescents from the 2000-2015"China Health and Nutrition Survey"data.RESULTS:A high prevalence of overweight and obesity among Chinese adolescents was revealed,with a significantly higher proportion in males than females.The prevalence of overweight and obesity showed an increasing trend from 2000 to 2015.The overall physical activity level of adolescents is relatively low,with limited time spent on moderate to vigorous intensity physical exercise.The trend in physical activity levels decreased from 2000 to 2015.Regarding age distribution,the physical activity level exhibited an initial increase followed by a decrease.CONCLUSION:The prevalence of overweight and obesity among Chinese adolescents remains high,showing an upward trend.The overall physical activity quantity and time spent on moderate to high-intensity physical exercise are insufficient,and the physical activity level of adolescents is influenced by academic pressures across different age groups.
