Measurement and Trend Analysis of the Convergence of Sports and Tourism Industries in Guizhou Province
OBJECTIVE:Using the"Village Super League"initiative in Guizhou as a catalyst,this study examines the level of integration and current trends between the sports and tourism industries in both Guizhou Province overall and its various cities and prefectures.METHODS:Employing grey correlation analysis and vector autoregressive models,the research assesses the correlation between eleven categories of sports industries and tourism industries in Guizhou Province,as well as the correlation between the tourism and sports industries in different cities and prefectures.Additionally,it explores the overall integration degree and current state of the sports tourism industry in Guizhou Province.Based on the findings and addressing challenges such as internal imbalances,uneven resource distribution,and low collaborative synergy between the sports and tourism sectors in Guizhou Province,the study proposes strategic improvements.These include leveraging events like the"Village Super League"to enhance the service attributes of underperforming sports industries,such as venue facilities,and actively infiltrating the tourism sector.Furthermore,it suggests tailoring the development of outdoor activities like hiking,mountain climbing,rock climbing,and paragliding to infuse more sports elements into the tourism industry.To align with high-quality tourism resources,the study recommends the effective management of sports tourism demonstration sites and sports towns according to a well-thought-out plan.
