This paper aims to identify the choreography characteristics of top individual figure event athletes in Asia under the new rules, provide guidance and direction for the training and choreography of male individual figure event athletes in China, and improve the competitiveness of Chinese athletes in individual figure events. Methods:This article uses research methods such as literature review, video analysis, and mathematical statistics to study the results and choreography characteristics of the top 8 athletes in men's 16+individual figure events at the 2022 Asian Rope Jumping Championships.Conclusion:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between the scores obtained by athletes and the number of level 8 difficulty movements. Therefore,in the overall choreography of individual figure events, the number of level 8 difficulty movements largely determines the final score of athletes;(2)The choreography of the complete set of individual figure events is mainly based on multi shake movements. For the two prescribed movements of strength and gymnastics, winding and rope release, most athletes regard them as the connecting movements between high difficulty multi shake movements;(3)At present, the music rhythm used in the men's 16+individual figure events in international competitions is 125~135BMP,and coaches need to arrange it according to the individual abilities and styles of the athletes;(4)When arranging a complete set of individual figure events, taking into account the athlete's physical energy consumption, movements of level 8 difficulty should be arranged in the front stage of the set,and there should not be too many level 8 difficulty movements in the middle and back stages to reduce the number of errors in the set of movements and ensure the smoothness of the set of movements.Suggestions:(1)Based on the characteristics of level 8 difficulty movements, athletes should strengthen training in leg strength, core strength, wrist strength, and flexibility;(2)The adaptability and synchronicity of athletes to different rhythm music in daily training should be improved to meet the requirements of the competition;(3)The physical training should be strengthened to help athletes complete more movements within the specified time and improve their athletic performance;(4)the rules should be adjusted appropriately to make the elements of individual figure events more diverse, and improve the competitiveness and entertainment value of the events.
