Comparative Analysis of Emotional Intelligence between Gymnasts and Regular Students
The emotional intelligence of gymnasts and regular students was investigated by literature review method,questionnaire survey method and mathematical statistics method.The results found that:(1)the overall level of emotional intelligence(P<0.05),self-emotional regulation(P<0.01)and emotional regulation of others(P<0.05)were significant.Self-emotion regulation ability and gender are positively correlated.(2)There is no significant difference in the emotional intelligence and the four dimensions of professional gymnasts with different training years,sports level and age.(3)Regular students'emotional intelligence is not significant in gender and age.Boys scored better than girls in emotion perception,self-emotion regulation and emotion utilization dimensions.Multiple comparisons found significant differences between ages 10 and 12 years(P=0.041<0.05),11 years old and 12 years old(P=0.041<0.05).(4)Emotional intelligence of professional gymnasts and regular students(P<0.05),Regulating others(P=0.016<0.005),Emotional utilization was significant(P =0.000<0.01).(5)Emotional intelligence of professional gymnasts and regular students(P=0.026),emotional perception among girls(P=0.031),emotional utilization(P=0.000)was significant different.(6)The emotional and intellectual difference between male gymnasts and regular boys is more obvious.(7)The age difference between gymnasts and regular students at 9 years is more obvious,specifically manifested in self-emotional regulation P=0.039,emotional regulation of others P = 0.043,emotional utilization P=0.004,overall level of emotional intelligence P=0.043.
