The place-based education advocates that education should be rooted in specific local history, environment, culture, and economy, emphasizing the interaction and cooperation between schools and their locations, attempting to break down barriers of mutual alienation between schools and local areas, and allowing school education to return and rely on rich and diverse local resources.Based on the perspective of place-based education, this article uses research methods such as literature review and logical analysis to analyze the inherent connection between rural culture and rural school sports.Based on this,it points out the value implications of the integration and development of rural culture and rural school sports:promoting the effective inheritance of rural culture, enriching the rural school sports curriculum system, promoting the comprehensive development of students, and supporting rural revitalization. It proposes to promote the organic integration of the two through a practical path that uses rural sports courses as carriers, rural principals as leaders, rural sports teachers as leaders, rural students as the main body, rural communities as support, and rural parents as assistance,so as to comprehensively enhance the overall educational function of rural school sports, promote the effective inheritance of rural culture, and help with cultural and rural revitalization.
