A Comparative Study on Green Practices in Sports Venues:A Comparison between China and the United States
The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized the importance of promoting green development and achieving harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. This has set a new requirement for the high-quality development of China's sports industry. The concept of green behavior has become increasingly integrated into people's lives and plays a crucial role in facilitating low-carbon development.Building upon prior research, this paper conducts a comprehensive analysis and comparison of the green practices implemented in sports venues in China and the United States. In terms of venue operations, both countries exhibit unique characteristics in their pursuit of low-carbon development in sports venues. To enhance the prospects of green development in Chinese venues,China can learn from the management approaches,low-carbon technologies, and development concepts employed in American sports venues.By adapting and integrating these practices to suit local conditions,China can further promote the optimal development of its sports venues.Based on this analysis, several strategies are proposed, including the strengthening of the development and application of low-carbon technologies in China, the promotion of the industrialization of sports venues, and the advocacy for a collaborative model of venue management involving government leadership and cooperation with social organizations.
