Effect of Long-Term Yoga Exercise on the Expression of Inflammatory Factors in the Body:A Meta-Analysis
In recent years, yoga has gained rapid popularity as an emerging recreational activity. To explore its deeper value, this study systematically evaluates the effects of yoga practice on the expression of inflammatory factors in the body, including anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory factors.Randomized controlled trials investigating the impact of yoga practice on inflammatory factor expression were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and PubMed databases. The search period ranged from database establishment to November 28,2023.Three researchers independently conducted literature screening, data extraction, and quality assessment, while statistical analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software for meta-analysis.Seven eligible studies involving a total of 393 participants were included. The meta-analysis results indicate that yoga practice can improve the expression of inflammatory factors in the body, with statistically significant differences observed when comparing the experimental and control groups.Yoga practice can positively influence the expression of both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors, and their changes are dynamic, collectively impacting human physiological function.
