An Analysis of Competitive Abilities in the Men's Team Event at the 51st FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships
This study utilizes the methods of literature review,video observation,and statistical analysis to analyze the results of the men's team final at the 51st FIG World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.The findings reveal that:(1)Chinese athletes performed exceptionally well in Team Final Men,securing the championship with one third-place finish and five first-place finishes.Japan claimed the second-place spot,while the host country,Great Britain,ultimately achieved third place.(2)Team China ranked first in both difficulty and execution,with Japan closely trailing in terms of difficulty but slightly lower execution scores.(3)Pearson correlation analysis between overall difficulty score and ranking demonstrated a significant correlation(r=-0.829,P=0.011),emphasizing the influential role of difficulty in determining the final ranks.This further validates the importance of skill complexity as a foundation for success.(4)The team event,characterized by its lengthy duration,multiple events,and high-pressure environment,imposes significant physical and psychological challenges on athletes.To enhance their competitive level,Chinese male athletes should continue to capitalize on their strengths,address any weaknesses,and improve their overall performance.
