This study employs research methods such as literature review, video observation, and mathematical statistics to analyze the tactical characteristics of Jade Jones, the main competitor of Chinese female taekwondo gold medalist Luo Zongshi, during three finals of major tournaments in the Paris Olympic quadrennium. The objective is to provide data-driven support and theoretical insights for Luo Zongshi's preparation for the Paris Olympics. The findings reveal that:(1)Jade Jones predominantly employs single techniques, complemented by combination techniques during matches.(2)Regarding tactics,Jade Jones primarily utilizes offensive and counter-attacking strategies, with limited use of counter-tactics and a comparatively lower scoring rate.Based on these findings, recommendations are made for Luo Zongshi, including employing downward strikes or sideways kicks to counter Jade Jones'stepping technique, maintaining control of distance, minimizing fouls and mistakes, leveraging her height advantage, enhancing medium to long-range kicking abilities, and ensuring effective defense in close-range situations.
