An analysis of the Selection of Foreign Players in the 3-Second Area for the Chinese Basketball Association(CBA)
The performance of basketball players directly affects the team's match results and operations,making the selection of players crucial for teams.In the Chinese Basketball Association(CBA),the selection of foreign players,especially foreign players in the 3-second area,has been a persistent issue for CBA teams.This study utilizes research methods such as literature review,principal component analysis,and K-means clustering to analyze the selection of two players(No.2 and No.18)from a pool of 25 potential foreign players in the 3-second area for a CBA team.Further examination and trials were conducted for these two players,and their trial data was analyzed and predicted using t-tests,analysis of variance,and other statistical methods.Ultimately,Player No.2 was chosen as the team's primary foreign player in the 3-second area(center position).
