Research on Factors Influencing Refereeing Efficiency in China's Professional Basketball League——An Exploration Based on Grounded Theory
Current research on referees has predominantly focused on their physical fitness and skills,with limited in-depth exploration of referees within the professional league context,and a lack of thorough analysis from the referees'perspective.This study utilizes literature research method,interviews,grounded theory,and mathematical statistics.Through in-depth interviews with referees from three major professional basketball leagues in China,NVivo 10 software is employed for coding and in-depth text analysis to investigate the factors influencing the officiating efficiency of referees in China's professional basketball league.The study identifies that the factors impacting the officiating efficiency of referees in China's professional basketball league primarily encompass external and internal factors,including the match situation,competition environment,on-site evaluation,public opinion,family and professional commitments,decision-making,and psychological and physical fitness,which significantly affect their performance across eight main categories.
