Research on the Sport of Volleyball in China:A Visual Analysis Based on CiteSpace
Volleyball,as one of the"three big balls",is an important factor of evaluating a nation's competitiveness in sports.In this study,a visual analysis of 281 articles on volleyball in core journals from 2014 to 2023 was carried out by using the CiteSpace software,literature research method and mathematical statistics.The results reveal that the peak number of articles published in core journals of the sport of volleyball from 2014 to 2023 has a certain correlation with the years when Olympic Games were held,and the overall development shows a wavy and cyclical pattern.There is a lack of cooperation among authors and communication between institutions.The research focal points include physiological experiments,competitive sports,techniques and skills,ideological and political education,and volleyball industry.The field of research cover volleyball sport and competitions,volleyball techniques and tactics,and reserve volleyball talents.We suggest that authors and institutions should strengthen cooperation;increase research of reserve volleyball talents;expand research perspective,grasp the forefront and the latest trends of volleyball research.
