Trends and Reflections on Cyborg in Sports Competitions
The emergence of cyborgs from concepts like human body implants has propelled human society into a post-humanistic phase.The fusion of non-biological elements with biological entities in cyborgs has led to a state of chaos in human practical activities.Particularly in sports competitions heavily reliant on the human body,athletes and referees are using external devices to assume functions traditionally performed by the body,thereby diminishing the inherent value of human existence.Consequently,humans are gradually"exiting"from sports competitions,leading to changes in the form,essence,and process of sports competitions.This paper employs literature research method and logical analysis to contemplate how humans can maintain their position in sports competitions in the post-humanistic era,based on certain phenomena of cyborgs in sports competitions,including the essence of sports competitions,the requirements of athletic ability,the process of sports competitions,competition rules and referee penalties,and the commercialization of sports competitions.
