Construction of Professional Football Stadiums in China:Logical Starting Point,Practical Review and Path Selection
Professional football stadiums are of significant importance in promoting the development of football in China and advancing the nation's status as a sports power.This paper utilizes literature research method,on-site investigation,and expert interviews to explore the logical starting point for the construction of professional football stadiums from the perspectives of the government,urban development,and public engagement.It also conducts a practical examination of professional football stadium development across the stages of initiation,stagnation,and deepening,as well as in terms of operational,planning,and design aspects.Based on this analysis,the paper proposes a path for the construction of professional football stadiums in China:comprehensive planning to ensure sustainable stadium development;promoting the construction of sports parks to establish sports service complexes;and renovating idle stadiums and transforming existing ones.
