Realistic Challenges and Enhancement Pathways for the High-Quality Development of After-School Sports Services in Rural Primary and Secondary Schools under the"Double Reduction"Policy
This study utilizes literature research method,field investigation,and expert interviews to introduce the development of after-school sports service,explore the practical challenges and enhancement pathways for the high-quality development of after-school sports services in rural primary and secondary schools.Based on an analysis of the theoretical basis and practical needs of high-quality development of after-school sports services in rural primary and secondary schools,the paper discusses the following practical challenges:limited variety in after-school sports activities,weak awareness of student development,entrenched traditional mindsets,insufficient sports resources,and a lack of supervision and guidance.The proposed enhancement pathways include a focus on diversifying activity content and emphasizing the development of localized curricula,prioritizing the transformation of student development awareness and innovative teaching methods,establishing a focus on nurturing environments based on improved resource allocation,and centering on the improvement of relevant rules and regulations to create a supportive environment.Enhancing the quality of after-school sports services will promote the physical and mental well-being of rural primary and secondary school students under the"Double Reduction"policy.
