Connotation,Characteristics,Realistic Challenges,and Promotion Paths of Physical Literacy Development in Higher Education
Exploring the cultivation path of physical literacy among college students in the new era is an urgent need to construct a distinctive physical education system in China.It is also an essential part of implementing core literacy and an inherent requirement for promoting comprehensive human development.This study uses literature research method and logical analysis to research the connotation,characteristics,realistic challenges,and recommended paths for the development of physical literacy in higher education.The results show that the characteristics mainly include:integrating core literacy and continuing exercise habits;meeting physical and mental needs and enhancing health literacy;and strengthening sports participation and integrating it into the lifestyle.The realistic challenges mainly include:ongoing disputes over conceptual definitions and lack of consensus on theoretical foundations;overall low levels of literacy with students having cognitive biases;and a failure to establish an evaluation system,making it difficult to implement specific measures.Recommendations for promotion paths include:unifying theoretical cognition,establishing cultural conclusions;enhancing diverse publicity and enriching student literacy;emphasizing normalized evaluation and correcting result-oriented approaches.
