Examination and Optimization Strategies of Time Management Issues in Physical Education Classes under the New Curriculum Standards
Teaching time is an essential factor in physical education(PE)classes.Effectively managing it is crucial to improving the quality of PE instruction and achieving the goals of the compulsory education curriculum reform in physical education and health. This study utilizes literature research method and observation to explore the significance of prioritizing time management in PE classes under the new curriculum standards. It analyzes issues related to time management in PE classes, including weak awareness of time management, improper time planning, insufficient time management skills, and imbalanced time allocation, and ineffective reflection on time management, leading to disorganized management.Consequently,it is suggested that PE teachers should conduct comprehensive time management in their classes, focusing on three phases:before class—enhancing awareness of time management and scientifically planning teaching time;during class—improving time management skills and flexibly adjusting teaching time;and after class—deepening the reflective process on time management and evaluating the effectiveness of time management.
