Attribution of Fairness Risks and Optimization Strategies for Scoring Standards of PE Proficiency Test of Junior High School in Guangdong Province:An Educational Equity Perspective
The physical education exam in academic proficiency test is essential for promoting students'physical health, and the fairness of its scoring standards is a prerequisite for the test. This study examines the relationship between fairness in physical education and PE exam in academic proficiency test from an educational equity perspective, focusing on the attribution of fairness risks and optimization strategies for the scoring standards of junior high school physical education tests in Guangdong Province. The study identifies several fairness risks:imbalances in the standards for full scores across test items,a trend of non-differentiation in scoring criteria among various groups of test-takers,discrepancies in scoring standards for the same test item,an expanding gap between scoring standards and item difficulty levels, and increasing disparities in the configuration of test items. In response, the paper proposes several optimization strategies:balancing the overall evaluation standards, providing equitable compensation for disadvantaged students, optimizing the selection of test items, and categorizing the difficulty levels of test items.
