Triathlon Research in China:A Visualized Analysis Using CiteSpace
To promote the sustainable development of triathlon in China and provide theoretical references for future research, this study utilizes CiteSpace as a tool to conduct a visualized analysis of 263 research articles on triathlon from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database. The analysis aims to clarify the progress of research on triathlon in China over the past 35 years. Results showed that:(i)Over the past 35 years, research on triathlon in China has experienced significant fluctuations and lacks sufficient breadth and depth.(ii)Research focuses are scattered, with more studies on specialized training and relatively less on scientific monitoring and the sporting event industry.(iii)Research content mainly focuses on specialized training, event development, and scientific monitoring, with applied research being dominant.(iv)In the past 5 years, sports events, physical fitness, and youth aspects have become the main research hotspots in this field.SUGGESTIONS:(i)Future research should break free from the limitations of the specific sport and integrate new interdisciplinary theories and methods to further deepen research on training, monitoring, and events.(ii)Future research should keep pace with the trend of sports digitization and intelligence and focus on young talent selection and cultivation, laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of triathlon.
