Currently,education in China has entered a stage of rapid development,and the integration of ideological and political education into the curriculum has become a hot topic in the field of education.This study uses literature research method and logical analysis to analyze the challenges faced by the integration of ideological and political education into police combative courses and proposes corresponding development paths.The study suggests that there are the following challenges in the development of the integration of ideological and political education in police combative courses:insufficient systematic integration and lack of targeted education;the need to strengthen the construction of the faculty;and the lack of a comprehensive evaluation mechanism.Based on this,the study proposes the following development paths:strengthening theoretical understanding to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education in police combative courses;integrating ideological and political elements into the curriculum to establish a content system based on the characteristics of police combative courses;and strengthening the construction of the faculty for the integration of ideological and political education in police combative courses.
