This study employs literature research method,interviews,and statistical analysis to explore the development challenges and innovative pathways of provincial university sports associations in the context of sports-education integration.The findings reveal that currently,provincial university sports associations face internal resource challenges such as lack of funding,personnel,venue and supplies.They also face external challenges related to social relationships with governments,higher-level associations,and member units.Additionally,there are challenges in creating stable branded events,expanding the university market,and promoting sports-education integration.Based on these findings,three major innovative pathways are proposed:expanding resource channels and establishing new models for collaboration between universities and local communities;clarifying social relationships and building a governance system for university sports;expanding functional dimensions and establishing a sports-education integration big data network.
