Research on Competitive Landscape and Development Trend of Men's Gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games
This study employs literature research method,video observation,and mathematical statistics to analyze the competitive landscape and development trends of the men's gymnastics events at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games,with a particular focus on Team China.The results indicate the following:(ⅰ)At the Paris Olympics,the Chinese team won a total of 7 medals,including 2 gold,3 silver,and 2 bronze,ranking first in the medal table for men's gymnastics and showcasing the excellence of Chinese gymnastics to the world.(ⅱ)In the men's team gymnastics competition,Chinese athletes demonstrated a high level of stability in the rings and parallel bars,but unfortunate mistakes on the horizontal bar resulted in a silver medal.(ⅲ)Chinese athletes won silver and bronze medals in the men's all-around competition,while Japanese athletes won the gold medal,indicating that small mistakes can affect the overall competition among top all-around athletes.(ⅳ)In the individual apparatus competitions,representatives from smaller gymnastics nations achieved outstanding results,elevating the intensity of the individual events.Development trends identified include:(ⅰ)Strengthening traditional strong events while focusing on improving weaker events,implementing scientific strategies for team selection and talent development to build a deep talent pool for the men's gymnastics team.(ⅱ)Diversifying routine connections and increasing the difficulty value of complete sets of movements;incorporating trendy choreography and following the guidelines of new regulations for routine arrangements;establishing a norm for rule learning to fully understand and utilize the rules.(ⅲ)Balancing the relationship between difficulty and execution,coordinating their synergistic development;developing diverse types of difficult movements to continuously improve the quality.(ⅳ)Leveraging institutional advantages to discover and nurture potential new talents,consolidating the competitive strength of all-around athletes;cultivating top national athletes to elevate the talent level of the men's gymnastics team and promote stable team development.
