Dynamics,Hot Topics,and Emerging Trends in Research on Sports Events in China——A Visualization Analysis Using CiteSpace
This study utilizes CiteSpace software to conduct a visualization analysis of 2,514 literature articles related to research on sports events in China from the core collection of the CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure)database.The findings reveal the following:(ⅰ)The publication volume in the field of research on sports events in China can be divided into three stages:a budding stage(1993-1998),a growth stage(1999-2008),and a phase of high-level fluctuating development(2009-present).(ⅱ)Domestic authors and research institutions show relative dispersion and a lack of collaborative connections,with limited influence.Shanghai University of Sport emerges as a key player in the field of research on sports events in China.(ⅲ)Research on sports events in the country demonstrates a diverse development trend,with hot topics mainly focused on event organization and management,event marketing and promotion,event culture and branding,and event audience and experience.(ⅳ)The emerging trends in research on sports events in the country primarily revolve around various aspects such as digitalization and intelligence,the integration of social and economic benefits,high-quality sustainable development,and globalization and localization.These trends exhibit a diverse and interdisciplinary nature,encompassing multiple fields such as technology,economy,culture,and environmental protection.
