Research on Development of Practical Teaching Ability of Physical Education Majors for Teacher Qualification
This paper utilizes research literature method and logical analysis to examine the current issues in the development of teaching practice abilities among students in physical education programs. It explores the challenges faced in cultivating these abilities in the context of teacher qualification. The study identifies several key problems, including insufficient familiarity with new initiatives in physical education teaching among teachers, inadequate integration in teaching design, ineffective formation of pedagogical content knowledge(PCK)among students, lack of depth in course content, and insufficient connection between educational practicum, internships, and grassroots physical education practice. In response to these issues, based on the framework of teacher qualification, strategies for cultivating teaching practice abilities among students in physical education are proposed. These include deepening teachers'understanding and mastery of educational theories in the new era, enhancing the integration of teaching design and clarifying the mainline of course instruction, prioritizing student teaching practice to promote the formation of PCK,adjusting course hours and credits based on practical needs and optimizing teaching content, and placing a high emphasis on the quality of"three practice"activities.
