Winning Model Building for World-Class High-Level Men's Basketball Techniques——A Study on the Semi-Finalist Teams of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023
Based on the basic theory of metrology and using multivariate statistical methods,this paper conducts a systematic and quantitative study on the winning techniques of the four semi-finalist teams in the 2023 FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup from two dimensions(micro and meso)and constructs a regression model.The study findings are as follows:(i)The technical indicator statistics of the winner and loser show that the technical metrics X1(score),X2(shooting percentage),X7(defensive rebounds),X8(total rebounds),and X9(assists)of the winner are all higher than those of the loser(P<0.05),and the number of X10(fouls)of the winner is lower than that of the loser(P<0.05),while other metrics are comparable(P>0.05);(ii)The micro-level winning technique model indicates that its functional expression is:ln[p/(1-p)]micro=0.071xS,(efficiency value)+0.261 xS2(defensive rebounds)-13.211,where S1(efficiency value)(B=0.071,OR=1.073,P<0.01)and S2(defensive rebounds)(B=0.261,OR=1.300,P<0.05)are both positive factors for predicting victory;(iii)The meso-level winning technique model indicates that its functional expression is:ln[p/(1-p)]meso=1.863xZ1(offensive factor)+1.000xZ2(defensive factor)-1.162xZ3(foul factor)+0.306,where Z1(offensive factor score)(B=1.863,OR=6.433,P<0.01)and Z2(defensive factor score)(B=1.000,OR=2.719,P<0.05)are positive factors for predicting victory,and Z3(steal factor score)(B=1.000,OR=2.719,P<0.05)is a negative factor.
