Structural Characteristics of Difficulty Elements Combination in Individual Woman's Aerobic Gymnastics——An Analysis of the Junior Division of the 11th FIG Aerobic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions
To explore the structural characteristics of difficulty elements combination in the trio aerobics event, this study adopts literature research method, video observation, and mathematical statistics to analyze sets of difficulty elements combination of the top three athletes in the individual woman's aerobics event of the junior division of the 11th FIG Aerobic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions. The results show that:(i)The Code of Points 2022 stipulate that individual woman's aerobics athletes in the junior division are allowed to present a maximum of 7 difficulty elements in one set.(ii)The three athletes all selected difficulty elements from 6 families, choosing the difficulty element value and the number of connection to the maximum limit required in the Code.(iii)Portuguese athlete Almeida Nadia combined scissor jump 180° turn with backward somersault, demonstrating strong lower limb strength and specialized techniques.(iv)All three athletes placed difficulty elements that consume more physical energy, have more complex technical characteristics, and are prone to errors before the main phase of the element to minimize the risk of element failure.
