The Promotion and Acceptance of Wushu in Malaysian Chinese Secondary Schools
With the deepening and enhancement of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia,Wushu,as a cultural carrier that enhances people⁃to⁃people communication,promotes sports and cultural exchanges between the two countries.To know about its impact on Malaysian youth and the promotion and acceptance of Wushu in Chinese secondary schools in Malaysia,methods such as field surveys,questionnaire surveys,and logical analysis were used to investigate Chinese education and the general situation of secondary schools in Malaysia,the extracurricular activities related to Wushu in Chinese secondary schools,and the understanding and acceptance of Wushu among the middle school students.The results indicate that Wushu has not yet fully entered the education system of Malaysian Chinese secondary schools.Although the students generally recognize the role of Wushu in strengthening their physical fitness,the promotion of Wushu and students'understanding of it still need to be improved.It is better to boost sports and cultural exchanges between students from both China and Malaysia and enhance the experience and inheritance of Chinese culture among Malaysian Chinese students.
