NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF HYDROGEN LEAKING FROM FUEL CELL VEHICLES OF DIFFERENT TYPES IN GARAGE
In order to study the effect of different vehicle types on hydrogen leakage and diffusion in fuel cell vehicles, two types of fuel cell vehicles,FCV90 and EUNIQ7 produced by SAIC MAXUS are selected and their parking positions are changed, the diffusion law of hydrogen in semi-enclosed garage is analyzed.Through numerical simulation,it is found that hydrogen tends to accumulate at the bottom of the vehicle after EUNIQ7 leaks, while the hydrogen diffuses rapidly along the bottom of the vehicle after FCV90 leaks, resulting in a smaller flammable area of hydrogen. It indicates that when the fuel cell vehicle chassis is high, the hydrogen leakage diffuses quickly and the escape ability is strong.By setting monitoring points on the garage walls,it is found that the time required to detect the hydrogen concentration on the wall near the rear of the vehicle is much less than the time required on the top of the garage, therefore,it is necessary to resonably arrange hydrogen concentration detectors on the side walls in the garage,so as to reduce the time of hydrogen leakage monitoring and effectively avoid hydrogen leakage accidents.
