The aesthetic style has undergone four types of development:imitative beauty,typical beauty,superrational beauty,and practical beauty.Imitative beauty includes formal beauty and symbolic beauty;typical beauty includes essential beauty and ideal beauty;superrational beauty includes artistic conception beauty,explicit and tacit beauty,and life beauty;practical beauty includes the beauty of production and the beauty of labor.The philosophical foundations corresponding to these four aesthetic styles are the ancient philosophy of the non-division of subject and object,the modern philosophy of the dichotomy of subject and object,unified modern subject-object linguistic philosophy and historical materialism.The essence of aesthetic style from the perspective of historical materialism is social existence.Aesthetic styles from different philosophical perspectives correspond to different forms of social existence such as economy,politics,society,culture and ecology.Examining the history and logic of the evolution of aesthetic styles from the perspective of philosophy can provide reflection for the cultivation of aesthetic styles in the practice of Chinese modernization.
