Sima Qian has the dual identity of historian and"cultural doctor".As a historian,Sima Qian is an iconic figure in the course of Chinese history;as a"cultural doctor",the ethical practice experience contained in his Record of the Grand Historians plays an important role in breaking through the dilemmas of opposing Confucianism and Taoism and lost scholars in the Western Han Dynasty.When individuals take different positions in family,society and country;collective consciousness and individual consciousness are in conflict,Sima Qian bridged the gap between the two by himself,thus establishing a balance between himself and the surrounding environment.In this sense,it is necessary to explore Sima Qian's hidden identity as a"cultural doctor"as a historian,and explore the cultural heritage left by Records of the Grand Historians.
