New Record of Aerial Coccoid Green Algae in Shanxi
The aerial coccoid green algae has a small cell size and a simple morphological structure. The east mountains forest farm is located in the northeast of Taiyuan, which is one of the eco-logical barriers for greening and beautifying the city.In order to clarify the species characteristics and phylogenetic relationship of coccoid green algae in this area, ten strains were isolated and purified from rocks, barks and mosses.Morphological characteristics of algae, such as cell shape, colony morphology, pyrenoid, chloroplast and mucilage envelope on the cell surface, were observed by microscope, and the molecular markers of internal transcribed spacer 2(ITS2)and 18S rDNA were used for phylogenetic analysis.Ten algae strains were identified as 9 different species belonging to 7 genera of 4 orders,of which 2 strains belonged to Watanabeales,2 strains belonged to Trebouxiales,4 strains belonged to Sphaeropleales, and 1 strain belonged to Chlorellales.Among them, the genera Coelastrella and Jenufa are new record genera in Shanxi province, while the Chloroidium orientalis,Desmodesmus multivari-alis,Coccomyxa viridis,Coccomyxa simplex,Pseudomuriella schumacherensis and Neocystis brevis are new record species in Shanxi province. The large number of pure cultured algae strains obtained in this study provide a theoretical basis for the resource development and utilization of the east mountains forest farm of Taiyuan.
