By using the methods of literature review and logical analysis,this paper explored the academic interpretation,theoretical mechanism and realistic situation of sports and wellness tourism actively responding to population ageing,and proposed action direction.This paper discussed the theoretical mechanism of sports and wellness tourism in response to population aging from three aspects:demand mechanism,supply mechanism and motivation mechanism.Realistic situation:There are risks in the operation of enterprises,the industrial support system is not enough,the market supply and demand structure is mismatched,and the professional skills are in short supply.Action direction:We should implement multidimensional measures to reduce the operational risks of enterprises,build diversified entities to improve the industrial support system,cultivate diversified business forms to improve the ability to match supply and demand,and cultivate interdisciplinary talents to accurately meet market needs.
