It is one of the measures to formulate its welding process and improve its welding quality and efficiency by controlling the welding arc temperature and shape of GTAW.The GATW welding arc of 6061 aluminum alloy is researched in this paper.The change of welding arc temperature and shape from the moment of current change of AC and pulse power supply to the process of arc stability is studied.The research shows that the arc extinguishes when the AC current changes.The temperature distribution and size of arc are different under different polarity conditions.The temperature of the arc with positive polarity is always higher than that with negative polarity.The arc of pulsed current will not extinguish with time.At the peak current,the arc temperature is higher,and the arc shape is close to the bell jar type.At the base current,the arc shape is similar to"waist drum"shape and the temperature is low.
