The transition section of a jacket foundation is a critical structure that connects the upper tower and the lower jacket foundation.It ensures that the upper loads are effectively transferred to the lower jacket foundation,serving as a link between the upper and lower structures.The design of this section is the focus and difficulty of the entire jacket foundation design.This paper takes offshore wind turbines of different megawatt in the same sea area as the research object,uses the finite element analysis software ANSYS to establish models for analysis,and obtains the relationships between structural frequency and structural types.The strength and buck-ling stability are analyzed.Additionally,the fatigue curve suitable for each transition section type is selected based on the equivalent static load method to calculate the cumulative fatigue damage under different working conditions.Based on this analysis,the fatigue sensitivity analysis of a new transition section is carried out,and the different types of the transition sections are calculated and compared.Finally,the new transition section which can be used for the jacket foundation of large-megawatt offshore wind turbines is determined.
