In this paper,a new type of assembled buttress retaining wall structure was proposed,and its mechanical performance was studied.The finite element software ABAQUS was used to calculate and ana-lyze the structure with different keyway dimensions,keyway spacing,buttress wall height and buttress wall thickness under earth pressure.The study found that the optimum keyway size of the retaining wall was 50mm in depth,180mm in width and 180mm in spacing.Under the static earth pressure,the retaining wall with the optimum keyway size had only slight stress concentration and damage at the keyway at the bot-tom end of the prefabricated retaining wall,while the overall mechanical performance behaved very well.The displacement and deformation of the whole wall was small enough to meet the requirements of engineer-ing design.The ultimate bearing capacity of precast concrete buttress retaining wall is close to that of cast-in-place concrete retaining wall,which testifies the safety of this new type of assembled retaining wall meets the requirements.
