Taking the construction of a shield tunnel near a tower in a comprehensive transportation hub in Beijing as the engineering background,in order to control the impact of additional load on the tower pile founda-tion on the deformation of the adjacent shield tunnel, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation calculations were conducted to deeply analyze the deformation control effect of the isolation wall scheme and the isolation wall+pile foundation crossing interval(bench pile)scheme on the shield tunnel. The results of theoretical anal-ysis and MIDAS-GTS numerical simulation show that the use of isolation walls can effectively isolate the addi-tional stress caused by the tower pile foundation and weaken its impact on the settlement of the shield tunnel. However, the use of isolation walls alone cannot meet the deformation control requirements of the shield tunnel. The scheme of using isolation walls and pile foundation to cross sections(bench piles)is adopted.Due to the layout of pile foundation crossing the shield tunnel, the additional stress caused by the pile foundation is reason-ably distributed along both sides of the shield tunnel,so that the calculation results can meet the deformation control requirements of the shield tunnel section. At the same time, due to the influence of the additional load on the tower pile foundation, the structural design of the shield tunnel needs to be strengthened.
