The water treatment structure needs to be elevated to meet the process layout in mountainous areas with great elevation difference.Combined with a practical engineering,using the finite element software Midas Gen for overall modeling and time history analysis,advantages and shortcomings of two schemes were compared.In the first scheme,water tank was isolated from elevated platform by roof felt.In the second scheme,water tank was directly laid on elevated platform.Analysis results proved that the direct placement scheme was recom-mended.At last,the stress and deformation characteristics of this kind of structures were analyzed with overall modeling of structures with elevated platforms.The research can provide reference for similar engineering design in the future.
