This paper introduces an optimal design scheme for the water intake of a water conveyance tunnel in a rock slope reservoir.The design scheme constructs permanent artificial rock plug and water intake by means of sinking pipe and underwater concrete.Under the protection of the permanent artificial rock plug,the reser-voir tunnel can be safely excavated to the water intake position,to achieve penetration with the water intake head.Compared with conventional cofferdam method or rock plug blasting method,this method has the advanta-ges of high safety,short construction period,good flow condition and low difficulty.This paper provides refer-ence for similar projects.
