According to the technology of Sanshandao ore crushing factory building,an 800 tons of concrete ore silo was arranged under the main floor. The structure with partial frame-supported shear wall was adopted, because the shear wall cannot land to the ground.Secondly, the building was located near the sea, where the wind load is large. And the engineering site was located in poor geological conditions:,the medium to strong corrosion environment, unfavorable seismic section.SAP2000 was used to calculate and analyze the whole struc-ture of the factory building. The results showed that the transfer story members of the frame-supported shear wall and the transfer beam were represented as"pull rod-press rod"mechanism, more prominent than the tensile shear effect of the transfer beam commonly used in China.Through the calculation and analysis of the frame pil-lar,transfer beam and reinforced concrete floor, the following structural measures of the pillar-supported silo were adopted. The frame pillar was also used as a buttress column, extended to the top of the silo with vertical haunch. The transfer beams were strengthened, and the thickness of the silo wall and floors were increased,in order to meet the bearing capacity and ductility requirements of the structure according to the design requirement of level 4 seismic performance.Anti-sulfate admixture to concrete and coating epoxy asphalt were used to im-prove the corrosion resistance of the structure.
