Underground T-shaped docking is an important trenchless technology in the pipe jacking shield construction.In this paper,the actual project of pipe jacking into shield tunnel in Shanghai was giv-en as an illustration,and the technical proposal of underground T-shaped docking was presented.Compli-cated finite element model of the steel shield in the T-shaped docking was built to analyze the stress and de-formation under the worst working conditions.The numerical results indicated that the stress concentration occurred at the docking position which should be carefully analyzed,and the weak parts should be strength-ened.The results of this paper could provide an experience and practical application case for the design of the T-shaped docking.
