The concave-and-convex groove has a significant impact on the deformation and shear perform-ance of the universal wedge-shaped segmental joint for shield tunnels, but there is no unified standard for its de-sign dimensions and construction form yet.The numerical method was adopted in this paper, and a three-dimen-sional numerical model was established, including a composite structure consisting of concrete segments and joints based on ABAQUS.A systematic analysis was conducted on the influence of the depth and angle of the concave-and-convex groove of the universal wedge-shaped segment on the stress, deformation of bolts and con-crete,as well as the joint shear stiffness. The results indicated that compared to the depth of concave-and-con-vex groove, the angle of groove had a greater impact on the shear stiffness of joints.Under the conditions of the same depth, the larger the groove angle, the smaller the vertical displacement and lateral stress of the bolt, but the greater the shear stiffness of the longitudinal joint. On this basis, optimization was carried out for the size of the concave-and-convex groove of the shield tunnel, and suggestions were given for the construction form of the concave-and-convex groove at the segmental joint for supported engineering.
