Preparation and Property Investigation on High Efficient Ceramizable Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber
A silicate,aluminum hydroxide and their corresponding modified fillers were respectively incorporated into a silicone rubber in order to prepare silicone composites.The effects of different ce-ramization fillers on the properties of the composites were analyzed and compared.The results showed that CFR-2 composite could convert into ceramic with high efficiency and quality at lower temperature and in shorter time even without help of a necessary fluxing agent.Flexural strength of the composite could be achieved about 15 MPa after calcined 45 min at 600 ℃.Net organics ceramization ratio of the composite was as high as 49.7%according to TGA analysis,which was much higher than the other samples.FV-0 flame retardant rating and high efficiency cermization could both be achieved after opti-mization on the recipe and further modification and at the same time with excellent electrical insula-tion.
