Effect of ZDMA and DCP on Properties of NBR/EVM Blends
The effects of peroxide vulcanizing agent DCP and zinc methacrylate(ZDMA)on the properties of nitrile rubber/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(NBR/EVM)blends were studied by multivariate analysis. The results showed that, with the increase of DCP and ZDMA content, the Shore A hardness, tensile strength, and tear strength of NBR/EVM vulcanizate gradually increased, while the resilience and elongation at break showed a decreasing trend. The regression analysis meth-od was used to study the influence trend of DCP and ZDMA on the performance of NBR/EVM,and it was verified that the established mathematical model could accurately predict the relationship between the mechanical properties of the compound and the dosage of compounding agent.
